Hey, I'm Lauren! I'm here to support you with a heartfelt, curious, and direct approach. My lived experience inspired me to pursue a master's in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling, where I gained valuable insights and evidence-based tools to support others on their paths to healing.
In the safe and supportive space we create together, I tailor my skillset to your dynamic, unique needs, offering practical (and, if you're into it, spiritual) opportunities for transformative insight and growth. As we witness and work through your internal experience, we have a chance to heal and reclaim what matters most. I believe you have the answers inherently, and it’s just a matter of accessing them.
Our therapeutic relationship is vital, and how we collaborate and support your engagement is key. People who are curious, willing to go deep, and interested in embodiment would benefit from collaborating with me. I value when clients flex their individual strengths and work through the hard emotions in a self-compassionate way.
I am committed to helping my clients cultivate resiliency and accessibility to their innate power. I am humbled to walk alongside each individual as they embark on their path toward wholeness.

Why do identities matter?
The short answer:
My identities might impact whether you feel comfortable working with me or not.
The long answer:
Identities can provide language to create common understanding of one’s general experiences. Identity can shape the ways we perceive the world and are perceived by others. I find that learning what identities others hold helps me understand: a) What might someone be coming in with, i.e., how does the way they experience the world impact how they are showing up in front of me now? b) How do my identities and theirs intersect, and what impacts might we have on each other accordingly?
I do not highlight identities to create boxes for people to be stuck in, but rather for us to deepen our understanding and find access to empowerment and strength based on our histories and backgrounds. Transparency and self-awareness are important to me.
Therapeutic Values & Guiding Principles
-
Mindfulness - a state of relaxed, nonjudgmental awareness– to study, activate, and directly experience one's current feelings, thoughts, and behavior. My therapeutic approach is centered around mindfulness, and I encourage my clients to embody this deep state of nonjudgmental attention.
-
The client is the expert of their own lived experience. I will always have a guiding therapeutic process but never superimpose an agenda. A fundamental therapeutic value is supporting the client’s autonomy through a non-violent approach. I meet the client where they are.
-
With safety as a core principle, I assist clients in finding and flexing their strengths and qualities that help replenish the system. I encourage my clients to maintain a safe rhythm of resourcing and self-care inside and outside the session.

The word soma, from the Greek, refers to the living body in its wholeness. Understanding and trusting one’s somatic experience is a foundational skill toward wholeness. Our body's wisdom plays a significant role in how we experience our lives, and the more we understand how it’s organized, the more power we gain.
-
Loving presence is an intentional appreciation of others or oneself. This principle provides the strength to engage with the vast and unpredictable world with genuine curiosity, care, and positive intentions.
